The reasons behind unsubscription to email

Here is a graph from MarketingSherpa showing the reasons of unsubscription:

This draws two important idea to marketer: individualization. Sending newsletters to people is good but you need to know why people subscribed you, what people are interested in reading the most.

  1. Have you ever created an account for a site that doesn't have an "OPT-OUT" function for newsletters?? Its just total spam mail! The best way i've tried to deal with spam mail is creating an account with the purpose of being spammed, a site I practically never check ={ I agree with you on this one, individualization is key~

  2. Victor, if you look at my previous post, I post a website (10minutemail.com) that offers a temp email account online for 10 mins. I found it very useful when you need one.
