This draws two important idea to marketer: individualization. Sending newsletters to people is good but you need to know why people subscribed you, what people are interested in reading the most.
Have you ever created an account for a site that doesn't have an "OPT-OUT" function for newsletters?? Its just total spam mail! The best way i've tried to deal with spam mail is creating an account with the purpose of being spammed, a site I practically never check ={ I agree with you on this one, individualization is key~
